Setup guide for force subscription app.

Force Subscriptions is a Shopify app that lets store owners sell products on a recurring basis (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) so customers get automatically billed and shipped on a schedule instead of buying once. It also gives store owners tools to set up, manage, and track these subscriptions from one dashboard.

In this guide, we'll walk through everything the Dashboard shows and what each part means.

Step 1: Open the Dashboard

In the left-hand menu, click Dashboard under Force Subscriptions. This is the home page of the app and gives you a full overview of your subscriptions at a glance.

Step 2: Complete the Setup Guide

At the top of the Dashboard, there's a Setup Guide with 5 steps to get your subscriptions working. A progress bar shows how many steps you've finished.

Step 3: Create Your First Recurring Plan

Start setting up your app by clicking “Create Plan” to create your first plan.

You can start creating your plan from here. You can also use the second tab on the left-hand side to fill in the required details and create your plan. For more detailed guidance on creating your plan, you can follow this article: "Create your subscription plan"

Step 4: Enable Force Subscription Widget on Product Pages

This adds a subscription button to your product pages, so customers can choose to subscribe instead of just buying once. Click Enable widget to turn it on, or Mark as done if you've already set it up elsewhere.

You can drag this element and place it anywhere you want. In this example, I’ve placed it below the Buy button, as you can see on the left-hand side and preview on the right-hand side.
Click on save after that.

Step 4: Enable Force Subscriptions List Page.

Enable the “Force Subscriptions List Page” so subscribers can easily manage their active subscriptions.

Click on Accounts after that customize according to yourself and click Save.

Step5: Enable Force Manage Subscriptions Button.

Enable the “Fast Manage Subscriptions” button by clicking Enable Extension. This allows customers to manage their subscriptions directly from their order page.

Click the + icon next to Fast Subscriptions Button, then select Orders and Order Status.

Customize it according to yourself and after that click save it will be added to your order section.

Step6: Enable Force Subscription Detail Page.

Click Enable Extension to enable the Fast Subscription Detail Page. This allows customers to quickly view their subscription details in one place.

Click the + icon next to Fast Subscriptions Detail Page, then select Accounts to add the subscription detail page.

You can select Orders and customize each option one by one. After optimizing everything, you’ll see the subscription list in the final option, where subscribers can view their active and paused subscriptions. Finally, click Save to apply the changes.

Revenue Growth Chart

1. Total Subscription: Shows the overall number of subscriptions created in your store — currently 21.
2. Active Subscription: Shows how many subscriptions are currently running — currently 18.
3. Paused Subscription: Shows how many subscriptions are temporarily on hold — currently 2.
4. Cancelled Subscription: Shows how many subscriptions have been cancelled — currently 1.
5. Revenue Growth Chart: Displays date-wise subscription order revenue, with a "Last 7 days" filter to change the time range.

Plan Distribution, Latest Subscriptions & Top Subscription Products

1. Plan Distribution: Shows the percentage and count of subscribers on each billing frequency — Daily 0% (0), Weekly 10% (2), Monthly 90% (19), Yearly 0% (0).
2. Latest Subscriptions: Lists the most recent subscribers by name with their current status, such as Active or Cancelled, and a "View all" link to see the full list.
3. Top Subscription Products: Ranks the best-performing subscription products, showing the product name, the plan it's linked to, and the number of orders it has generated.
