How to Create Your First Subscription Plan
A subscription plan is basically a set of rules that decides how a product gets sold again and again for example, how often it's delivered and how the customer pays for it. Instead of buying once, the customer keeps getting the product automatically based on this plan.
Step 1: Open the Plans Section
In the left-hand menu, click Plans under Force Subscriptions. This is where all your subscription plans are created and managed.
Step 2: Click Create Plan
In the top-right corner, click + Create plan to start building your first subscription plan.

Step 3: Choose How Customers Get Charged
After clicking Create plan, a pop-up asks you to pick one of two options:
Option 1:
- Auto-charging subscription rule (Most popular choice!): The customer's card gets charged automatically every time, using payment methods like Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, Stripe, and others.
Option 2:
- Recurring invoices: The customer gets a bill each time and pays it themselves — it's not automatic, but it works with more payment methods.

Step 4: Fill In Your Plan Details
After choosing Option of your own choice, you land on the Create Subscription Plan page. Here's what you fill in:
- Title: The name customers see when they subscribe, like "Subscribe and save."
- Internal description: A private note just for you — customers never see this.
- Products Selection: Click Browse products to pick which product(s) this plan applies to.

Step 5: Set Delivery Options and Finish the Plan
- Name: A label for this delivery option .

- Billing type: Choose how the customer is billed, like Pay as You Go or pre paid.

- Delivery frequency & interval: Set how often the product is delivered, like every Days,Week, month.

- Minimum required number of payments: How many billing cycles must happen before the customer can cancel or pause.
- Maximum allowed number of payments: How many billing cycles happen before the subscription cancels automatically

Step 6: Set Up a Subscription Discount (Optional)
- Give discount toggle: Turn this on if you want to offer subscribers a lower price than the regular one-time price.
- Discount amount & type: Enter how much discount to give and choose whether it's a Percentage or a fixed amount — this becomes the price customers see.
- Recurring discount after specific number of orders: Turn this on if you want the discount to only kick in after the customer has placed a certain number of orders, instead of from the very first one
.

- Click Add option if you want to add another delivery choice, or click Create subscription plan at the bottom to finish.
Step 7: Customize the Widget
After filling in your plan details, click the Widget tab to design how the subscription option looks on your product page.

On the right side, you'll see a live preview of how the widget will actually look to customers, showing the Purchase options ("Just Once" and "Every 1 month" in this example) as you make changes.

Select and customize each option according to your liking.

Once you're happy with the look, click Create in the top-right corner or Create subscription plan in bottom right corner to publish your subscription plan.

Your Plan Is Ready!
Once you click Create, your new plan appears in the Plans list — here, "Luxury Offer" shows up as Active, ready to start getting subscribers.
