How to Set Up Customer Groups in Loyalty Palm

A step-by-step guide to creating Customer Groups ,organizing customers into tiers based on points, spend, or order


Step 1: Go to Customer Group.

In the Programs page, find the Customer Group card and click Set up.




Step 2: Activate the Program

Click Activate to turn on Customer Group. Until it's activated, customers won't be placed into any groups.




Step 3: View or Add Customer Groups

You'll see your existing customer groups (Bronze, Silver, Gold, etc.) with their point thresholds and customer counts. Click View all customers in each group to see the full list, or Add Customer Group to create a new tier.



Step 4: Create a New Customer Group

  1. Display – enter a name for the group (e.g., "Special")
  2. Milestone – set the points customers need to earn in a calendar year to reach this group
  3. Click Save to create it




Step 5: Add a Group Icon

Under Display, click Add image to upload a custom icon (minimum 90×90 pixels) for this customer group, or leave it as the default group icon.




Step 6: Configure Group Settings

  1. Program start date – set when customer activity starts counting
  2. Points earned or Amount spent – choose how customers qualify for this group
  3. Time to achieve – lifetime or one calendar year
  4. Click Add Reward to set entry rewards customers unlock when they join this group




You can add any reward If you want.It would be one time reward when a Customer enter that group.



Step 7: Add Group Perks

Click Edit Perks to list any additional benefits (like free shipping or early access) that customers in this group will enjoy.





Step 8: Group Created ✅

Your new "Special" group now appears in the list, requiring 20,000 points with 1 customer already in it. You can click on Special anytime to edit its settings, rewards, or perks.




Step 9: All Set ✅

Your Customer Group program is now Active with 6 groups configured. You now have 3 live programs — Points, Referral, and Customer Group — all working together to reward your customers.
