How to Add Ways to Redeem Points in Loyalty Palms

Learn how to create rewards your customers can redeem using the points they've earned — such as discounts, free shipping, products, or gift cards.

Step 1: Go to Programs

Click on Programs under Loyalty Palm in the sidebar, then click Add ways to redeem (or Add Way To Redeem) to start creating a reward.

Step 2: Choose a Redeem Option

A popup opens with reward types under Online Store — like Amount discount, Percentage off, Free shipping, Free product, and Gift card. If you have a POS setup, you'll also see Shopify POS options like POS amount discount.

Once you choose Amount discount, you're taken to a setup page where you configure the reward's title, description, redemption type, and reward value

Step 3: Configure the Reward Details

1. Title – the name of the reward shown to customers.
2. Description – explains what the reward offers (use {{discount_amount}} and {{points}} for live values).
3. Redemption type – choose Fixed points cost or Points increments.
4. Reward value – set the Points cost and the Discount amount it unlocks.

Step 4: Set Purchase Type and Applies To

1. Purchase type – choose whether the discount applies to One-time purchases only, subscriptions, or both.
2. Applies to – choose whether the discount applies to the Entire order or a Specific collection (select the collection from the dropdown).

Step 5: Set Eligibility, Purchase Requirements, and Discount Code

1. Customer eligibility – check Only show to the redeeming customer if you want the reward visible just to the customer redeeming it.
2. Minimum purchase requirement – choose No minimum requirement or set a Minimum purchase amount.
3. Discount code – optionally enable Add code prefix to customize how the generated discount codes look (e.g., "REWARD-").

Step 6: Set Combinations, Expiration, and Status

1. Combinations – choose whether this reward can be combined with other order discounts, shipping discounts, or product discounts.
2. Reward expiration – enable Expire reward after a set time and choose the duration (e.g., 1 year).
3. Status – set the reward to Active or Disabled.

Step 7: Review and Create

Check the Summary panel to confirm your reward details are correct, then click Create to publish the new redeem option.

Step 8: Review Your Reward

Once created, your new reward appears under Redeem actions — showing its details like the reward type, points cost, and whether it combines with other discounts. You can click Edit anytime to make changes.

See It Live on Your Storefront

Customers can now click the Redeem tab in the rewards widget to view and unlock your new reward — like this $5 USD off coupon for 500 grands (points).
