How to Create your First subscripton
Subscriptions shows all the active customer subscriptions created from your Plans — think of it as your live record of who's subscribed to what. From here, you can view and manage each customer's billing cycle, update or pause their subscription, and track its status (active, paused, or cancelled).
Step 1: Open the Subscriptions Section
In the left-hand menu, click Subscriptions under Plan. This is where all your subscriptions are created and managed.

Step 2: Click Create Plan
In the top-right corner, click + Create subscriptons to start managing your first subscription .

Step 3: Choose How Customers Get Charged
After clicking Create plan, a pop-up asks you to pick one of two options:
Option 1:
- Auto-charging subscription rule (Most popular choice!): The customer's card gets charged automatically every time, using payment methods like Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, Stripe, and others.
Option 2:
- Recurring invoices: The customer gets a bill each time and pays it themselves — it's not automatic, but it works with more payment methods.

Step 4: Fill In Your Subscriptions Details
1. Create subscription – Start a new subscription for a customer.
2. Contract details – Set next order date/time, currency, and status.
3. Selling plan – Choose how billing works:
- Pay as you go – charged each delivery
- Prepaid – pays upfront for multiple deliveries

Step 5: Products Selection
- Click Browse products to pick which product(s) this subscription applies to.

Select your product and click Add

Step 6: Products Selection
1. Minimum number of orders – Locks in a minimum number of billing cycles before the customer can cancel/pause.
2. Maximum number of orders – Sets how many billing cycles run before the subscription auto-cancels.

Step 7: Select customer

You can scroll and select your customer.

Step 7: Add Details
- Delivery – Fill in the customer's delivery address (Address 1, Address 2, Country, City, Zip).
- Shipping and delivery options – Choose how shipping is handled:
- Shipping rates – Uses your store's existing shipping settings
- Custom shipping – Set a custom name and price just for this subscription

Once all the details are filled in, click Create subscription to finish setting it up.
You can see your subscription.

In this way you created your Subscriptions and manage it according to yourself.
