How to Update Tax Information and Bank Details in SPL and TikTok Shop

Overview

To ensure smooth financial transactions and tax compliance between Shopify and TikTok Shop, you need to update your tax information and bank details either in the SPL app or TikTok Seller Center. This information is crucial for ensuring that you are properly registered for taxes and can receive payments from TikTok.

📌 Important Note

When you click Update Tax Information or Update Bank Details inside the SPL app, you will be redirected to the TikTok Seller Center:

Bank Details → TikTok Seller Center → Payment Settings
Tax Information → TikTok Seller Center → Tax Settings

✅ You can also enter or update this information directly in TikTok Seller Center. Once added, SPL will automatically recognize it, and you won’t need to update anything separately inside the app. After updating, you can immediately start syncing your products.

Step 1: Update Tax Information in TikTok Seller Center

To ensure your products can be listed and orders processed correctly, add your tax information as follows:

🔹 Steps:

Log in to TikTok Seller Center
Go to: My Account → Tax Information

Fill in the required fields based on your country and business type:

For US sellers: Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN/EIN)
For other countries: VAT, GST, or local tax ID

Click Save

📌 **Note for US Sellers: **Many users have reported issues with updating tax information. You can try using a VPN, incognito mode, or a different browser to resolve this error. Alternatively, you can update the tax info directly in TikTok Seller Center.

Step 2: Update Bank Details in TikTok Seller Center

To receive payouts from TikTok Shop, you need to provide valid bank details:

🔹 Steps:

Log in to TikTok Seller Center
Go to: My Account → Account Settings → Bank Account

Add your bank account details:

Bank Name
Account Number / IBAN
Routing Number / SWIFT (if applicable)

Click Save

✅ Once saved, SPL will automatically detect the bank account, and payouts will be processed without additional updates in the app.

Step 3: Verify in SPL

After updating tax and bank details in TikTok Seller Center:

Open the SPL app in your Shopify Admin.
Navigate to the Products tab.
The Review Listing pop-up box will no longer appear.
You can now start syncing products without any additional setup.

📌 Note

SPL does not store tax or bank details. All updates must be made directly in TikTok Seller Center.
Once updated in TikTok Seller Center, SPL automatically detects the changes—no separate update is needed in the app.
After configuration, you can start syncing products from Shopify to TikTok Shop immediately.
Tip for US sellers: If you encounter tax errors, try using a VPN, incognito mode, or a different browser.
Always verify your information in both TikTok Seller Center and SPL to ensure smooth payouts, tax reporting, and product synchronization.
