How to Add Required Product Fields for TikTok Shop

Overview

TikTok Shop, has its own requirements for uploading products and listing them for customers.
Currently, TikTok Shop requires every product to include:

• Weight
• Length
• Width
• Height

These requirements help guarantee a better customer experience. Additionally:

• Size chart is required for clothing products
• Product certification files are required for certain categories like electronics

If these required fields are missing, the product cannot be synced automatically to your TikTok Shop store. (For example, uploading manually in TikTok Seller Center without required fields would also prevent product submission.)

1. Add Required Fields via Product Syncing Dashboard

In Product Syncing, you select which products to sync to TikTok Shop. The app will automatically detect missing required fields before allowing sync.

Steps:

1. Go to **Product > shopify product ** in TikTok Shop Connector by SPL.
   
2. click Edit next to the product you want to update.
3. A modal will open showing Product Overview, Details, Variants, and Attributes.
   
4. Switch between tabs to edit relevant information.
5. Click Save after entering all required fields.

Required Fields for All Products

• Weight, Length, Width, Height
  These are mandatory for all products.

Clothing & Apparel

• Size Chart Image required (upload as image file)

Electronics & Other Specific Categories

• Product Certification Files required
• Upload up to 3 files (image or PDF)

Barcode Entry (Optional but Recommended)

At the SKU level, you can enter barcodes. Choose the appropriate type:

• GTIN / EAN / ISBN / UPC

If your product is exempt from barcodes, you can leave it empty. However, adding barcodes is recommended for a better product health score on TikTok Shop.

Why Are Required Fields Important?

TikTok Shop uses product dimensions and weight to:

• Accurately calculate shipping fees
• Ensure carrier compatibility
• Provide realistic delivery estimates

Failing to provide these details will block product sync and delay your listing.
