This guide covers how to activate and integrate the Shortly branded affiliate portal with Shopify, invite influencers, and share signup links.

🚀 Activating and Linking the Shortly Affiliate Portal with Shopify

Step 1: Activate the Affiliate Portal

1. Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
2. Open the Shortly app.
3. Go to the Affiliate Programs section.
   

If you're setting up for the first time:

4. Click the Activate button.
   
5. On the prompt, click Enable App Block – you’ll be redirected to the Shopify theme editor.
   

If you've already created an affiliate program:

4. Click the Already Created button.
   
5. A pop-up will appear – Choose the page and click Verify to confirm and link the affiliate portal to your store page.
   

Step 2: Add the Affiliate Dashboard to Your Store

*Open the Shopify Theme Editor** from your admin panel.

• Click Pages > Create Template (top right of the editor).
• By default, a new page template will be created.
• Select the Affiliate Portal template.
• If the template doesn't exist, create a new one.

• Enter the template name as: affiliate-dashboard
  

1. In the theme editor, click Add Section in template
   
2. Select Apps, then choose Affiliate Dashboard.
   
   
3. Click Save.
   

Step 3: Add the Dashboard to the Store Menu

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Content > Menus.

3. Click on Main Menu.
   
4. Click Add Menu Item.
   
   
5. Enter a name (e.g., Affiliate Dashboard).
   
   
6. Click Search or Paste Link > Select Pages > Choose Affiliate Dashboard.
   
7. Click Add and Save Menu.

👁️ What Influencers See

Once setup is complete:

1. Visit your storefront and click the Affiliate Dashboard menu link.
   
   
2. Influencers will land on the branded signup page.
3. After entering their details, they’ll see their own affiliate dashboard.
   

Inside the dashboard, influencers can:

• 📊 Track clicks, orders, and commissions
  
• 🔗 Access and share affiliate links
  
• 🛒 View their order history

📣 Invite Influencers

🔗 Invite via Signup Link

After creating your program:

• Copy and share your signup link with influencers.
• Add it to your website footer, landing page, or email campaigns.

✉️ Invite Influencers Manually

1. Go to the Influencers section.
2. Click Invite Influencer.
   
   
3. Enter their info → Click Save.
   An invite email will be sent automatically.
   

👤 Influencer Experience (via Invite)

1. Influencers receive an email.
   
   
2. They click Accept Invitation and complete the signup.
   
   
3. Once registered, they access the affiliate dashboard.
   

🔄 Branded vs. Default Signup Page

• If the Branded Affiliate Portal is Activated:
  Influencers will see a fully branded, embedded signup form and dashboard experience directly on your storefront.
  
  
• If the Branded Portal is NOT Activated:
  The same signup link will still work, but influencers will be taken to a standard Shortly-hosted signup page outside of your store’s branding.
