# How to Set Up Your Points Program In Loyalty Palms

A **step-by-step** guide to setting up your **Points Program** — configuring how customers earn points and redeem rewards across your store.

### Step 1: Go to Programs
Click on **Programs** under **Loyalty Palm** in the sidebar and click on **Set up** of Points Program to access your Points Program setup page.

**After clicking on Set up you can Activate your points Program**

### Step 2: Set Up Ways to Earn Points
Click **Add Way To Earn** to create new ways for customers to earn points — like placing an order, celebrating a birthday, or signing up. ### Step 3: Set Up Ways to Redeem Points
Click **Add Way To Redeem** to create rewards customers can unlock using their points, like discounts, free products, or gift cards. ### Step 4: Customize Points Branding
Click **Edit** under **Points currency** to name your points to match your brand — set both the **Plural** (e.g., "grands") and **Singular** (e.g., "grand") forms, with a live preview showing how they'll appear to customers.

### Step 5: Set Points Delay (Optional)
Click **Edit** next to **Points delay** to choose when customers receive points after placing an order — this helps protect against returns and cancellations before points are awarded.

### Step 6: Configure the Delay Period
Click **Turn on** to enable the delay, choose a **delay period** (7, 14, 30, 60 days, or Custom), then click **Save**. This determines how long customers wait before their points are awarded after an order is paid.

### Step 7: Manage Points Status
Check the **Points status** to see if your program is active, and click **Deactivate** anytime if you need to turn off the Points Program.

### Step 8: Confirm Your Program is Live
Once set up, the **Program Status** shows **1 program is live**, and your **Points Program** appears as **Active** in the list below — with **Manage** available anytime to review or update your settings.
