How to manage search appearance. (Google structured data)
**SEO Lab – Search Appearance **
Google structured data
This page helps you control how your store appears on Google. Each setting adds special “Structured Data (JSON-LD)” so Google can better understand your pages and show rich results.
1. Breadcrumbs
What it does:
Breadcrumbs help Google understand your site’s structure (Home → Collection → Product).
Google can show breadcrumb links in search results, making your store look more organized.
Simple example:
If someone searches for your product, Google may show something like:
Home > Shoes > Running Shoes
Where it applies: Homepage.
Button: Run Test – checks if breadcrumbs are added correctly.
2. Site Search Box
What it does:
Adds a special search box under your store’s Google result.
Customers can search your store directly from Google.
Example:
When someone searches your brand on Google, they may see:
Search [Your Store] → a search bar appears under the result.
Where it applies: Homepage.
Button: Run Test – checks if the search box is working.
3. Product Structured Data
What it does:
Adds product information for Google, such as:
- Price
- Stock
- Ratings
- SKU
- Image
Google can show “Rich Results” like stars, price, or availability.
Example:
Instead of a simple link, Google may show:
⭐ 4.8 Rating — $39.99 — In Stock
Where it applies: Product pages.
Button: Run Test – checks if product data is added.
4. Article Structured Data
What it does:
Helps Google understand your blog articles by adding:
- Article title
- Author
- Publish date
- Images
Better chance of ranking your blog posts and getting rich article previews.
Example:
Google may show the publish date and author under your article link.
Where it applies: Blog article pages.
Button: Run Test – verifies article structured data.

**5. Collection Structured Data **
What it does:
Adds structured data for your collection pages (category pages).
Why it’s helpful:
Google understands what products are inside each collection, which improves rankings of category pages.
Example:
Collection page “Summer Dresses” can show more rich info in Google search.
Where it applies: Collection pages.
Status:
Shows Off when disabled — turn it on to improve SEO of collections.
6. Blogs structured data

Why: Google uses this name as the official name of your business.

Paste the URLs of your social profiles, such as:
- YouTube
Google may show these icons under your brand when people search for your business.
The example on the right shows how these social icons might appear on Google.
5. Click Save
