# How to Edit a Customer's Subscription

Learn how to update the **products in an existing customer subscription,** whether it's changing quantity, swapping products, or adjusting the selling plan. This **guide walks** you through accessing and **editing subscription items directly** from the customer details page.'

### Step 1: Go to Subscriptions
Click on **"Subscriptions"** in the sidebar, then select the **customer's contract** and click on the id of the customer you want to edit the id.

### Step 2: Click on the edit  button
Clicking **Edit** on any section — Items, Customer, or Delivery — takes you to the same edit page, where you can update the details for whichever part you want to change.

### Step 3: Update Subscription Info
Choose whether it's a **pre-paid subscription**, then set how often the order repeats using **Repeat Every** pick a number and interval (day(s), week(s), month(s), or year(s)).

### Step4:Update the customer information:
You can edit the **customer information** and change it according to yourself:

### Step 5: Set Billing Details
Pick the **payment method** for this subscription, then set:
1. **Minimum Number of Payments** – how many charges must go through before the customer is allowed to cancel.
2. **Maximum Number of Payments** – how many charges happen in total before the subscription ends automatically.

### Step 6: Manage Items
Under the **Items** section, adjust the product **Quantity**, click **Set Price & more** to edit pricing details.

Clicking **"Set Price & more"** opens the **Item Properties** popup, where you can adjust the **Quantity**, **Price**, and apply a **Subscription Discount** — either a custom percentage or a quick preset (5%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 50%) — then click **Save**.

### Step7: Select product
If you want to **add product** than you have to click on the **Select products:**

Clicking **"Select Products"** opens a search window where you can browse or search for products, check the ones you want to add, and click **Add** to include them in the subscription.

Step 5: Set Delivery Details
In the **Delivery** section, fill in:
1. **Delivery Price** – the shipping cost for this subscription.
2. **Delivery Method Title** – the admin-facing name, shown in Shopify Admin Orders.
3. **Delivery Method Code** – the internal code for this delivery method.
4. **Delivery Method Presentment Title** – the customer-facing name, shown in emails and the order status page.

After **updating everything** you can click on **save** button to save the changings.

**Once saved,** the newly added product appears right here under **Items** — confirming your edit has taken effect.
